Schenectady UPDATE!
So… GREAT NEWS in Schenectady. Originally, Bombers Burrito Bar was planning to move into the front commercial space in the Multiplex ”Center City” building. The space was pretty cool… although a bit small and we wouldn’t have been able to do a full bar or have a private VIP room. However…… at the last minute, a building a few doors up became available for us to buy!
Bombers Burrito Bar is now under contract to purchase 451 State Street, an amaaaaaaazing 3 story building across the street from Proctors Theater in the heart of Downtown Schenectady!!! The 1st floor will be takeout and a seat-yourself dining room. The 2nd floor will be a full scale bar and seating serviced by a waitstaff. And the 3rd floor will be a VIP private party room called La Playa.
Although this kind of puts us back to step 1 of the design and construction process, the new building requires fewer renovations and is overall a way better space for a Bombers bar/restaurant. Estimated opening date? Fall 2008.

OK,OK…it’s closing in on the end of winter, nearly Spring of 2009!! Whazzup with the new place?! I still travel to your place in Albany, but would prefer supporting businesses in my own community!!

Spring has sprung, the grass has riz, I wonder where Bombers is! Love the food- not willing to drive every week to down town Albany and look for a parking spot and get home to hope the the burritos are still hot! Can’t wait for the new restaurant to open! Going through burrito withdrawl!
